She was born July 22, 1942 in Piqua to the late Kenneth and Dora (Ward) Trost. She married Warren L. Parker September 12, 1998 at Westminster Presbyterian Church; a union that would span 25 years, and he survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Linda (Mark) Johnson of Piqua, Tina (Tom) Harmon of Piqua, Marcia (Todd) Acker of Sidney; three stepsons, Todd (Holly) Parker of Covington, Scott Parker of Piqua, Tim (Joyce) Parker of Casstown; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Wick of Sidney.
Mrs. Parker was a 1960 graduate of Hardin-Houston High School. She worked in the customer service department for SEW Eurodrive for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed her involvement and cherished the friendships and connections made through Joyful Noise Sunday School with Jana and Kirby Warren. She loved to keep her body active, especially when she would take her walks; as well as show her talents through crocheting. Additionally, she loved to travel, especially on bus tours with her husband. She enjoyed watching TV with her husband, especially Jeopardy and Western Films. She also truly enjoyed her time at StoryPoint over the last year and a half and loved the other residents and caregivers. The family would like to extend a warm Thank You for the incredible and heartfelt care that was provided to Marilyn and the rest of the family. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and many friends.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Joshua Rodriguez officiating.
