Margaret I. “Peg” Missimer, 61, of Troy, passed away peacefully in her home at 10:45 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born February 23, 1962 in East Liverpool to the late John William and Grace Evelyn (Serafy) Muller. She is survived by her loving husband Timothy S. Missimer who she married September 18, 2010 in Centerville.
Other survivors include three children, Kyle (Danielle) Richey of Troy, Tim (Liz) Missimer of Troy, Ashley Missimer of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Aiden, Connor, Mila; a sister, Sue (Lee) Hendricks of Centerville; a brother, John (Suann) Muller of Kettering; a nephew, Brian (Laura) Hendricks; a niece, Hannah Hendricks; and a great nephew, Harrison Hendricks.
Peg was a 1980 graduate of East Liverpool High School. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in accounting. She worked as the Director of Independent Living for Brookhaven Retirement Community for 30 years; and had recently retired. She was highly involved with the Pink Ribbon Girls and was a past board member of the Brookville Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed gardening and tackling home projects and home décor. She was an avid walker and enjoyed walking especially in her favorite spot to visit, the beach. Peg was a strong and brave woman who took on her challenges head on and was not one to back down. She will be deeply missed by many.
A private service to honor her life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
