MABEL WRIGHT

Mabel Wright, 77, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 9:51 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at her home. She was born June 29, 1946 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Edison and Delphia Legg. She married Ernie G. Wright April 15, 1961 in West Liberty, Kentucky and he survives.  

Other survivors include two children, Karen (Michael) Astor of Lakeworth Beach, Florida, David (Tammy) Wright of Piqua, Ohio; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one sister, Kathleen Wright of Houston, Ohio, also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Timothy Wright and two siblings, Marie Hill and Rufus Legg. 

She was a homemaker, and took great pride in taking care of her children and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Piqua First Free Will Baptist Church.  

A service to honor Mabel's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Reverend Craig Wright officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Piqua First Free Will Baptist Church.
