LOUIS E. KIESEWETTER

Louis E. Kiesewetter, 93, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 5:55 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Hospice of Miami County. He was born April 12, 1932 in Covington to the late George Louis and Ethel Barbara (Wackler) Kiesewetter. He married Mary L. Levering July 25, 1953 in Covington, a marriage that would span over 68 years; and she preceded him in death January 24, 2022.

Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca (Thomas) Mullen of Piqua, Debra (Robert) Blackburn of Laura; a son, Michael (Tanya) Kiesewetter of Covington; six grandchildren, Julie Mullen of Piqua, Joseph (Leah) Blackburn of West Milton, Daniel Blackburn of Englewood, Kellsey (Cory) Roberts of Belfield, North Dakota, Brian (Ashley) Kiesewetter of Covington, Heather Kiesewetter of Weatherford, Texas; eleven great grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne (Phyllis) Kiesewetter of Piqua. He was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Davis.

Mr. Kiesewetter was a graduate of Piqua Central High School. He worked for Armco and the former Piqua Wheel but his true passion was farming. He kept up the family farm for many years and loved every aspect of farm life. He was a 70 year member of Warren Lodge F&AM, was involved with the Miami County Fair Board for many years and served on the board of the Miami County Farm Service Agency as well as the Soil Water Conservation District. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.

A private graveside service to honor his life will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
