Linda J. Stout, 87, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 2:08 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Stillwater Nursing & Rehabilitation in Covington. She was born April 14, 1938 in Piqua to the late Oliver and Helen (Cramer) Davis. She married Edward R. Stout December 12, 1964 in Piqua; and he preceded her in death May 15, 1989.
Survivors include three children, Chris Stout of Plano, Illinois, Mike Stout of Piqua, Ronda (Mark) Shellenberger of Covington; four grandchildren, Ryan Stout, Matt Stout, Jamie (David) Blakeley, Seaira Stout; and five great grandchildren, Marley, Colton, Kristopher, Jessica, and Kammi. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald L. Davis.
Mrs. Stout was a 1956 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She worked for over 25 years at the Copeland Corporation where she retired as a Foreman. She had been an active member with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Grandmother’s Club, Weekly Card Club, and her graduating class lunch group. She enjoyed crocheting and working on diamond paintings. Additionally, she loved to maintain her yard keeping it meticulously clean and decorated. She will be remembered as a constant caretaker; whether caring for her mother through her illness, caring for her family, or watching her grandchildren or great grandchildren, she took great pride in making sure they were tended to and wanted for nothing.
A graveside service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Randy Reed officiating. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
