Linda D. Stahl, 85, of Waynesville, formerly of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born July 28, 1939 in Pleasant Hill to the late Leonard I. and G. Lucille (Apple) Franke. She married Herbert E. Stahl on August 4, 1967 in Piqua, and he preceded her in death November 3, 2006. Linda cherished her wonderful 15 year relationship with Dale Ridinger, and he preceded her in death in 2022.
Linda is survived by two daughters, Sherry (Gary) Hartzell of Fletcher, and Christena Litton of Akron; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Greg) Rudasill, Michael Smith, C.J. Litton, Rebecca (Brian) Marek, and Rachel Litton; six great grandchildren, Cody McConnaughey, Garret (Carlee) Rudasill, Gage (Abby) Rudasill, Krystianna and Avalee Smith, and Jaxon Litton; two great great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Biagi of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Brenda (Rick) Smedley of Piqua; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Asher; her grandson, Brian Hartzell; her son in law, Tim Litton; and her brother in law, Norman Biagi.
Linda was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, Class of 1957. She worked as the Office Administrator for CB Manufacturing for many years. Linda loved to crochet and enjoyed making baby blankets and sweaters for family members and friends. She liked to keep a garden and was known for sharing her wonderful home grown Zucchini Bread with friends and family every year. Linda grew up on a farm, and kept a small collection of miniature Farmall Tractors and memorabilia. She loved to play cards, and was a very skilled Euchre player. Linda enjoyed going to the Casino, and had a tradition of going every Christmas Day. In her free time, Linda liked to watch Westerns and the Game Show Network.
A service to honor her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 15, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Hill officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home.
