LINDA J. DAVIS

Linda J. Davis, 78, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 11:45 a.m. Monday, September 30, 2024 at The Ashford Assisted Living. She was born March 9, 1946 in Piqua to the late Eugene P. and Thelma C. (Varno) Pence. She married Howard F. Davis September 30, 1978 in Piqua; and he preceded her in death December 25, 2004.

Survivors include a grandson, Gaven Davis of Fremont; and a granddaughter, Gracie Davis of Fairborn. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Pence; a sister, Susan Sweitzer; and her daughter, Angela Davis.

Mrs. Davis was a 1964 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She worked as an assembler for the former Copperweld Corporation, from which she retired. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was a member of the South Shores Sportsman Club in Celina. She enjoyed playing cards, watching her favorite programs on television, and going to the casinos with her husband. She had a passion for St. Marys Lake and loved the time she was able to spend there. Additionally, she adored her grandchildren and was a dedicated grandmother.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
