Larry Edward Vetters, 83, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 12:42 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home. He was born December 12, 1940 in Piqua to the late Edward and Eunice (McQueen) Vetters Jr.
Larry is survived by his brother, Tom (Roberta) Vetters of St. Paris; his nephews and niece, Michael (Lynne) Vetters of Laguna Hills, California, Angela (Jack) Carroll of St. Paris, and Robert (Nicole) Vetters of Lima; his great nephews and nieces, Joseph, Ryan, Alayna, and Aja; also many other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Janette Vetters.
Larry was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, Class of 1958. Larry had a love for cars his whole life, and worked as a car salesman and dealership manager for many years in Ohio and Oklahoma. Larry enjoyed the simple life, he lived next to Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma and liked working outside his house, and taking in nature. He had an affinity for collecting things and enjoyed sharing the history of the things he kept. Larry never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with his neighbors and lending a helping hand whenever it was needed.
