KRISTINA ANN REED

Kristina Ann Reed, 75, of Piqua, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving children at 10:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at St. Leonard Assisted Living in Centerville, Ohio.

Born on April 14, 1950, in Piqua, Ohio, Kris was the beloved daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Nicodemus) Ramelmeyer.

She is survived by her four children, Eric (Casey) Reed of Columbus, Ohio, Ben (Cortney) Reed of Westerville, Ohio, Katie (Shane) Wion of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Susie Clark of Springboro, Ohio; and by ten cherished grandchildren: Sam Reed, Drew (Rebekah) Reed, Lucy Reed, Gwen Reed, Finn Clark, Audrey Reed, Stella Wion, Reed Wion, Miles Clark, and Simon Clark. Also surviving are her twin sister, Kathy (Don) Larger of Piqua, two nieces, four nephews, and her devoted partner, Kent Caserta. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Ramelmeyer.

Kris was a proud alumna of Piqua Catholic High School and studied at The Ohio State University. She was a church member throughout her life spanning St. Boniface (Piqua, Ohio), St. Mary (Piqua, Ohio), and St. John Vianney (Mentor, Ohio). Her deep Catholic faith was a source of strength throughout her life, guiding her with grace and quiet resilience.

A passionate reader and lifelong learner, Kris found joy in her work as a librarian, a calling that matched her love of books. In later years, she cultivated a keen interest in politics, history, and genealogy—always curious, always seeking to understand the world and her place within it. Autumn Saturdays were reserved for cheering on her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes.

But her greatest joy—and her most treasured role—was that of mother and grandmother. Kris’s love for her family was steadfast and unconditional. She led by example, living her values more than speaking them, and believed that being a good mother and a good person were the truest legacies one could leave. She taught compassion through action, and acceptance through kindness. She embraced others without judgment, recognizing that all are deserving of love.

Those who knew Kris will remember her strength, sense of justice, tender heart, and playful, mischievous spirit. She had a sharp wit and a warm sense of humor that brought light to any room. Her resilience inspired those around her, and she never took a moment with loved ones for granted, believing deeply in making every minute count.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Steve Shoup as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
