Obituary

Kimberly Kay Jackson, 56, of Piqua, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at 12:55 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Hospice of Miami County following a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. She was born August 12, 1966 in Urbana to the late Robert L. and Janet A. (Smith) Woodruff, Sr.

Survivors include four sons that meant the world to her, Walter (Kristina) Wilson, Danny (Jessica White) Wilson, all of Piqua, Isaac (Elizabeth Keeton) Hicks of Troy, David (Kenzie Maddox) Arnett of Piqua; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Feist, Tyler Wilson, Tabby Moore, Shane Lewis, Aylissa Poe, Hope Sell; her bonus mother, Debbie Woodruff of Urbana; a sister, Christina Gansheimer of Urbana; a brother, Robert Woodruff of Urbana; six nieces and nephews, Gabrille Blunt, Chance Blunt, Welldee Woodruff, Robert Woodruff III, Hunter Woodruff, Edge Woodruff; and her best friends, Clarissa Robinson of Piqua and Tammy Smith of Sidney. She was preceded in death by a sister, Robin Johnson.

Kim worked for many years as a cleaner for Integrity Cleaning; a position she truly enjoyed as she gained deep satisfaction from cleaning. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Urbana. She loved to camp and go fishing with her sons. Additionally, she was an animal lover, particularly her cat, Missy and her grand-dog, M.J. She enjoyed attending races at Shadybowl Speedway, taking trips, especially to Detroit and loved her Minnesota Vikings. Most of all, she loved her family deeply and always did her best for them. She will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, contagious laugh, her fun loving attitude in all she did, her courage in the face of adversity and her beautiful smile that rarely left her face.

A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
