KEVIN J. REEDER

Kevin J. Reeder, 50, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1974 in Troy to Roger (Barbara Mullin) Bateman of Piqua and the late Pamela (Stevens) Bateman.

Kevin is also survived by two daughters, Maylea (Joseph Swain) Reeder of Sidney, and Halie (Tristan Sweat) Reeder of Piqua; three siblings, Josh (Barbara) Reeder of London, Andy (Dawn) Bateman of Germantown, and Carrie (Gregory) Stevens of Piqua; and his beloved granddogs, Jasper, Kilo, and Lapis; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kevin was a graduate of Piqua High School, Class of 1993. Kevin most recently had worked at Troy Laminating and Coating. He was an avid fisher, and enjoyed going to the lake with family and friends. Kevin enjoying taking his guns to the shooting range, and enjoyed all sports, but was a big University of Michigan fan and enjoyed playing in a softball league. Kevin was known for being a great cook and baker, especially for his chicken enchiladas and his corn casserole around the holidays. He was a spontaneous person that loved to keep the mood light and was a habitual jokester that enjoyed poking fun at anyone and everyone. Kevin loved music, and attended many rock concerts like Five Finger Death Punch and going to events like Rock on the Range. He enjoyed going out with friends, especially to Fricker's and Oktoberfest.

A service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with  Pastor Kris Geise officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter.
