Kerry Duane Lowe, 60, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his residence. He was born April 2, 1963 in Frankfurt, Germany to Patty R. (Marcum) Lowe of Piqua and the late Bobby Lowe.
Kerry is survived by his son, Michael Lowe of Washington State and his mother, Mary Stewart of Piqua; three siblings, Keith (Larry Keith) Lowe of Celina, Kevin (Missy) Lowe of Celina, and Kyla (Scott) Manson of Covington; four nephews and a niece, Kody, Jordan, Jonathan, Bobbi, and Chase; his aunt, Jolene (Bill) Gehrke of Arizona; and a very close first cousin, Gilbert (Angie) Carroll of Christiansburg; also other cousins, relatives and friends.
Kerry was a graduate of Piqua High School and the Upper Valley JVS, Class of 1981. Kerry entered the military after high school and proudly served in the U.S. Army Infantry from August of 1981 to June of 1987. After his military service, Kerry worked as a welder for Hobart Brothers/ITW for over 25 years. He previously was very active in Karate, and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He enjoyed working out, going fishing, traveling, and he was an animal lover. Kerry loved his nieces and nephews, and enjoyed pulling pranks on the kids.
Services for Kerry will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Miami Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Place Recovery, 110 W. Franklin St., Troy, OH 45373. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
