KENNETH PITTMAN Obituary

Kenneth A. Pittman, 63, of North Vernon, Indiana, formerly of Piqua, passed away at 6:17 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1960 in Piqua to the late Richard A. and Sara I. (Malone) Pittman.

Ken is survived by four children, Nathan Pittman of North Vernon, Indiana, Tiffany Pittman of Troy, Ohio, Ashley Pittman of North Vernon, Indiana and Lyndsey Pittman of Troy, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren, Austin, Alexandria, Arianna, Vincent, Isabella, Antonio, Jackson, Cruz, Ellyssa, Simba, Allanah, KyRell, Tristen, Kynndrea, Omyriah and Brantley; a brother, Bill Pittman of Piqua, Ohio, nephew Brandon and niece Shelby. He is now resting in Heaven with his beloved dog Rusty. 

Ken graduated from Piqua High School in 1980. He worked at Evenflo and Aerovent. He went to ITT and obtained an HVAC degree. He also became a certified truck driver through Masters Trucking Academy.  He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver at Victory, Continental Express and retired from Piqua Transfer.  Growing up, Ken enjoyed Boy Scouts and earned the accomplishment of becoming an Eagle Scout. This was one of his favorite accomplishments that he enjoyed talking about over the years. He loved music, movies, fishing and collecting coins.  He is proud of his Native American Heritage and collected Native American memorabilia. Ken was an avid Trump supporter and loved talking about politics. He was interested in various conspiracies and supernatural occurrences. He was considered a "jack of all trades" and had the knowledge to fix or solve just about any problem that arose. Ken loved all of the traveling he was able to do over the years and enjoyed talking about his experiences that he encountered when he drove his semi across the country. He traveled to every state in the United States, Canada and parts of Mexico. Ken loved his children and grandchildren and cherished spending time with all of them. He was a previous member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. 

A service to honor his life will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 26th, 2024 at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Larry Butt officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Northern Cheyenne & Crow Children of St. Labre Indian School and the American Heart Association.
