Keith A. Palmer, 78, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 11:48 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born September 5, 1946 in Cherry Fork, Ohio to the late Earl and Mary (Nehus) Palmer. He married Delvie J. (Young) Palmer on September 8, 1973 in West Union, Ohio, and she survives.
Keith is also survived by his daughter, Tracy (Val) Haunn of Delaware, Ohio; daughter in law, Monica Palmer of Piqua; four grandchildren, Justin Kossel, Eli Palmer, Madisyn Palmer, and Max Haunn; one great grandson, Bentley; two brothers, Steve (Joyce) Palmer of Georgetown, Ohio, and Joe (Shirley) Palmer of West Union, Ohio; his sister in law, Linda Palmer of West Union, Ohio; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerad Palmer; and his brother, Ronnie Palmer.
Keith was a graduate of West Union High School, Class of 1966. Following high school, Keith honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Keith worked at L&CP Printing as a Machine Operator and retired after 38 years of hard work and dedication. He was a member of Crossroads Church of God, and was always willing to give his time for church events or outreach. Keith never stayed idle and truly loved the outdoors; he enjoyed going hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and loved to go on multiple mile walks. He was quick to volunteer for summer camps and Boy Scout events, and was a member of the Promise Keepers. When he wasn't exploring the outdoors, Keith liked to tinker in his workshop, working with wood or other projects. Family was most important to Keith, and he cherished spending time with his grandkids and spoiling them. He will surely be missed by all who loved him.
A service to honor his life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Hill officiating. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Forest Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
