Judith Ann “Judy” Calloway, 84, of Piqua, passed away at 7:42 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Kettering Health of Troy. She was born August 15, 1938 in St. Paris to the late Charles and Amy (Mahan) Hamilton. She married Charles E. Calloway Jr. October 15, 1960 in Kiser Lake and he survives.
Other survivors include two children, Charles “Brian” (Donna) Calloway, and Amy Flinn all of Piqua; four grandchildren, Travis (Mandy) Calloway, Tyler Calloway, Tasha (Matt) Kiehl, and Amanda (Brad) Plunkett; nine great grandchildren, Chloe, Hunter, Lily, Conner, Jacob, Madison, Ashlynn, Colton, and Collin; two siblings, Samuel Hamilton of St. Paris, and Barbara Henderson of Virginia; also many other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Calloway was a graduate of Johnson High School in St. Paris Class of 1956. She worked as a Silk Screen Operator at American Trim and retired after 25 years of hard work and service. Judy enjoyed living the farm life alongside her husband Charles, they liked to keep a garden and take rides in the Gator through the woods. She was a wonderful cook, she enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, and most of all knitting. She was fond of sitting in the gazebo at the house knitting and enjoying nature. Judy and Charles enjoyed traveling and had taken wonderful trips to Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Florida over the years. Judy was a fantastic and loving wife, mother, and grandmother that took great care of her family and spoiled the grandchildren a time or two. She will truly be missed.
A service to honor her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Wellman officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
