Juan M. Salinas, 63, of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at Soin Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1960 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Maria (Aviles) Gutierrez.
Survivors include his sister, Leticia (George) Walker of Dayton; two brothers, Marcus (Amy) Medrano of Union, Isaias Aviles of Piqua; and his nieces and nephews whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maria Escamilla; and a brother, Joseph Gutierrez.
Juan attended Riverside of Miami County and Marymont in Dayton. He enjoyed bowling, swimming and listening to music. He was active for many years with the Special Olympics which he always looked forward to. He was very much a people person and loved to interact with others. He also loved coffee and spending time outside, especially in the summer. Most of all, he adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He will be deeply missed.
A funeral service to honor his life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside of Miami County 1625 N. Troy-Sidney Road, Troy, OH 45373.
