JOSEPH H. JONES

Joseph H. Jones, 65, of Piqua, passed away at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1956 in Beaufort, South Carolina to the late John Henry and Mary (Clarke) Jones.

Survivors include five children, Emmanuel Jones of Piqua, Patrick Jones of Tipp City, Betty (Kevin) Stamper of Richmond, Kentucky, Jason Jones of Columbus, Jessica Gessner of Covington; nine grandchildren; and two siblings, Janice Jones and John Henry Jones, Jr., both of Springfield, Illinois. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Jones; and a sister, Amy Jones.

Mr. Jones served proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked as an ammonia refrigeration technician for over fifteen years for ConAgra Brand in Troy. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3998 in Covington. He was an avid football fan, and enjoyed watching any game, as long as it was a good one. Most importantly, he adored his grandchildren and loved to spend as much time with them as possible.

A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
