JOHN D. SCARBROUGH, JR.

John D. Scarbrough, Jr., 78, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 8, 2023 in Siesta Key, Florida. He was the son of the late John D. and Helen L. Scarbrough, Sr. John is survived by his loving family including his sister, Gail and his brother, Jim.

Mr. Scarbrough was a 1962 graduate of Piqua Central High School. He then earned his Bachelors Degree from Ohio Northern University. He was a past member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was the past President and Owner of Piqua Waste Equipment before his retirement. John enjoyed his membership in the Loyal Order of Moose and the Elks Lodge. Additionally, he enjoyed spending his time on the water, boating and fishing. John was a social person who loved meeting new people and would engage in light conversation with just about anyone he encountered. Making people laugh brought him joy. He often expressed an admiration of all things Mexico and enjoyed traveling. He will be deeply missed by his loving family.

A private service to honor his life will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
