JOHN P. BUIRLEY

John Paul Buirley, 71, of Troy, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born June 11, 1950 in Troy to the late Robert C. and Ruth M. (Thaxton) Buirley.

Survivors include a sister, Becky (Doug) Asbury of Punta Gorda, Florida. He was preceded in death by a sister, Connie S. Smith.

Mr. Buirley was a 1969 graduate of Miami East High School and retired from the St. Regis Paper Company of Troy. He enjoyed motorcycles, corvette cars and was a lover of animals, especially his shelter dogs that he rescued over the years.

All of John’s friends are invited to attend a graveside service to honor his life; which will begin at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at Casstown Cemetery with Rev. Tom Roth officiating. Funeral arrangements are being provided to his family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter, 1110 N.
