Jesse R. Woodrow, 20, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 29, 2022 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born October 19, 2002 in Troy to George Woodrow of Troy, and Melissa (Aaron Subler) Griffin of Ansonia.
Other survivors include his brother, Shane (Jackie Schaublin) Woodrow of Sidney; his grandparents, David (Debbie) Griffin of Urbana, Dave (Carolyn Sue) Subler of Greenville; Dennis and Laorena Wampler of West Alexandria; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George (Ruth Ann) Woodrow Sr.
Jesse was a graduate of Ansonia High School Class of 2022 and worked as a mechanic for Absolute Automotive in Troy. He loved to tinker with cars and computers, and could fix about anything around the house. Along with working on cars and computers, Jesse also enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with his friends. It was hard to tell when Jesse was joking around, but his big grin and positive attitude usually gave him away. Jesse had a famous statement that could be applied to cars, life, and everything else- if something was broken he would say “It’ll buff.” He will truly be missed by all who loved him.
A service to honor his life will begin at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
