Jerad K. Palmer, 45, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his home. He was born January 6, 1979 in Piqua to Keith and Delvie (Young) Palmer of Piqua. He married Monica D. Layman August 26, 2005 in Sidney; and she survives.
Other survivors include three children, Justin Kossel, Eli Palmer, Madisyn Palmer; a grandson, Bentley; a sister, Tracy (Val) Haunn of Delaware, Ohio; a nephew, Max Haunn; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jerad was a graduate of Piqua High School and attended Edison State Community College. He worked as a machinist for Clopay and Jackson Tube. He was most recently employed at Dap Products in Tipp City. He was an active member of Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly. He was an absolute sports fanatic and loved the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, especially when he was able to go with his father. He also enjoyed fishing. He adored his family and enjoyed every minute he spent with them.
A service to honor his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
