JEAN OSTERBEND ROBINSON

Jean Osterbend Robinson, 101, of Piqua, passed away at 7:28 a.m. Monday, February 05, 2024 at Piqua Manor. She was born January 27, 1923 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Earl Edward and Lucy (Williams) Osterbend. She married Robert Lee Robinson December 11, 1945 at the Congregational Christian Church in Piqua. Robert preceded Jean in death October 23, 2010.

Survivors include two sons, Richard (Janice Rhoades) Robinson of Piqua, Captain James L. (Linda Baldridge) Robinson USCG (Retired) of Georgetown, Texas; four grandchildren, Ryan (Christi Sorrell) Robinson, Peter O. Robinson, Geoffrey N. (Karen Renee Westbrook) Robinson, Claudia (Terry) Weaver; and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Robinson was a 1941 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She served as a legal secretary for the firm which would become McCulloch, Felger, Fite & Gutmann Company LPA, was the secretary and treasurer of the board for the Flesh Public Library, and was active in scouting, mother’s club, as well as volunteering with her church. She later served as the Executive Secretary to the President and Chief Engineer of Hartzell Fan/Air Movement Corporation.

A memorial service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her spouse.
