Janice M. Bohannon, 67, of Troy, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born September 8, 1958 to the late Ray and Ada (Kline) Tamaska. She married Danny Bohannon and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2020.
Janice is survived by her three children, Craig (Wendy MacIntosh) Steiner of Piqua, Tiffany Steiner of Piqua, and Ray (Bethany Fortner) Steiner of Troy; three grandchildren, Autumn (Chaben Fosnaugh) Steiner, Danika Steiner, and Drayden Steiner; one great grandchild on the way! her sister, Vickie Bishop of Troy; her nephew, Kevin Wells; and her niece, Audra Tamaska and her children; also numerous other cousins, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Tamaska.
Janice graduated from High School in Dayton, and went on to be a Cosmetology Instructor at Creative Images Institute, and loved sharing her knowledge with her students. She was a very creative person, she loved to do crocheting and various crafts, and enjoyed doing those with her grandchildren and family members. Janice was a very proud Plant Mom, and also collected various crystals for their restorative properties. She was also a top player on the Monopoly GO! mobile game. Janice was always thinking of others, and was always ready to help another. She would feed anyone that entered the house, and even if she was hungry, she wouldn't eat unless her guest did also. She always put others before herself.
A service to honor her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the funeral home.
