JAMES "ROBBIE" LAWRENCE

James “Robbie” Lawrence, 46, of Piqua passed away at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born October 10, 1975 in Troy to Kathy J. (Gambill) Flaharty of Piqua and William Roger Lawrence of Ormond Beach, Florida.

Other survivors include two children, Zachary Rian (Becca) Lawrence of New Albany, Indiana and Mara Elizabeth (Andrew) Lawrence of Piqua; one grandchild, Knox Christopher Lawrence, and was expecting another; his sister, Melissa Lawrence of Piqua; two nephews: Austin (Taylor) Lawrence and Cody Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles “Chuck” Flaharty.

Robbie was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years; he loved to be outside. He enjoyed camping trips and bike rides with his son and daughter, Zach and Mara. He also loved to canoe, more fittingly called “cabrew”. Robbie loved his late dog, Ceaser. He was a Duke Blue Devil, Michigan Wolverine, and Denver Bronco fan. He enjoyed spending time cooking on the grill and in the kitchen. His sense of humor could light up a room, and often did. Robbie loved his family; he was very close with his sister Melissa, his mother, and his nephews. His family will forever remember his grilled chicken and his poor taste in music. 

A special time to honor his life will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at Miami Memorial Park in Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Dayton Humane Society, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton OH 45417.
