JACQUELINE N. CLARK

Jacqueline N. Clark, 100, of Piqua, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Friday May 13, 2022 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 14, 1922 in Eagle Grove, Iowa to the late Theodore and Lucille (Weber) McVicker. She married Richard E. Clark March 25, 1945 in Piqua, he preceded her in death November 29, 1995.

She is survived by granddaughter, Nicole (David) Nitzsche; grandson, Michael J. (Melissa) Chenos; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandsons; niece, Gwen (Bill) Wallace, and her special friend who was her eyes and wheels for several years, Peg Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son in law, Carol and Michael Chenos; and her sister and brother in law, Iris and Leroy Traylor.

Jackie graduated from Grant Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 as an RN. She then went to Piqua Memorial Hospital and was their supervising surgical nurse. She later worked for Dr. John Beachler and was his nurse for about 40 years. In retirement, Jackie loved traveling by motor coach with the Leisure Club, playing cards with friends, and helping with Vacation Bible School at church. She was a real fan of Red’s baseball, football, and most sports. She loved ice cream and concerts in the park. She always had a smile and was a happy gal. Thank you to the staff at Brookdale Piqua, and Hospice of Dayton for their loving care.

A service to honor her life will begin at  1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Grunden officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 12:30- 1:30 p.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenview United Church of Christ, 3041 Leatherwood Creek Rd., Sidney OH 45365 or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420.
