Other survivors include six children, Gordy (Suzanne) Westfall, Tracy (Rich) Hunt, Sarah (Frank) Patrizio, Penny (Chris) Gano, Tracy (Jim) McCann, and Ronice Jones; nine grandchildren, Tara, Becky, Dustin (Victoria), Kayla (Dustin), Kassie (Mason), Kory, Frank (Autumn), Layne (Logan), and Erin (Zack); five great grandchildren, Braxton, Lane, Natalie, Hugo, and Ben; also many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Hugh was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Dawn; and five siblings, Virginia, Vera, Norma, Jim, and Butch.
Hugh was very patriotic and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy as a 3rd Class Radio Operator on the U.S.S. Boston from February 4, 1957 to November 21, 1960 and enjoyed sharing stories from his service time with friends and family. He drove a truck for Emery Worldwide and retired from SEW Eurodrive after many years of hard work and dedication. Hugh was a people person and had never met a stranger, and enjoyed riding around town with the top down in the Mustang to get a Mocha Frappe from McDonalds, Dairy Queen, or to go see his second family at Chick-Fil-A. He was also a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Most of all, Hugh loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
"Only the Phantom Knows."
