HELEN "JOANN" J. LANGE

Helen "Joann" Lange, 92, of Piqua, passed away at 9:25 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County. She was born August 13, 1933 in Piqua to the late William and Helen (Fuller) Stahl. She married Philip J. Lange, Sr., on September 22, 1951 in Piqua and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2021.

Joann is survived by six children, Philip (Cathy) Lange Jr. of Wapakoneta, Linda (Tim) Lessing of Sidney, George (Lisa) Lange of St. Paris, Teresa "Terry" Evans of Piqua, Chris (Linda) Lange of Elkland, Missouri, and Peggy (Tim) Jess of Piqua; also several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a few great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Patsy Williams of Phoenix, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her son in law, Mike Evans; her granddaughter, Beatrice Iris Evans; two sisters and six brothers.

Mrs. Lange was a graduate of Piqua Central High School and was a wonderful homemaker throughout her adult life. Family always came first, and she was very devoted to her children, grandchildren, and her great and great great grandchildren. She was out of bed before everyone in the house, and helped get Phil and the kids out of the door and then went to St. Boniface to volunteer in the cafeteria for lunches. She was a hard working, caring, and loving person that was always willing to help anyone in need.

A special time to honor her life will be held privately at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with burial to take place at Forest Hill Cemetery.
