Hannah L. Kingrey, 88, of Piqua, passed away at 11:10 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born October 28, 1933 in Piqua to the late Henry J. and Maudie Marie (Moyer) Collins. She married R. Howard Kingrey October 18, 1952; he preceded her in death January 22, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Faith Ann (Flo) Morgan of Clarksville, Tennessee; a grandson, Ryan Scott Morgan of Clarksville, Tennessee; and a sister-in-law, Donna Collins of Dade City, Florida. She was preceded in death by a son, David Scott Kingrey; a brother James E. Collins; and a sister, Henrietta Hahn.
Mrs. Kingrey was a 1951 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She began working at the Orr Felt Company and later worked at the Piqua Board of Education Office from 1966-2002 when she retired as their Assistant Treasurer. She was a member of Greene Street United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Sidney Chapter. She enjoyed traveling, especially in the spring to watch her grandson play soccer; as well as spending time at their cottage at Grand Lake St. Mary’s. She was a gifted baker and cook. More than anything, she adored her family and loved to spend her time with them.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Will Leasure officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greene Street United Methodist Church, 415 W.
