Graig Douglas Niemi, 44, of Houston, passed away on November 3, 2022 at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1977 to Jorja (Rusty) Woodward and the late Joseph Niemi, with whom he shared a close bond. Also preceding him in death were grandparents George and Helen Seesdorf, as well as Edward and Wilma Niemi; and his aunt Arlene Seesdorf.
In addition to his beloved mother Jorja and step-father Rusty, he is survived by two sisters, Bonnie (David) Spinder, and Katherine Niemi-Adams; as well as nieces and nephews, Allison, Austin, Jonathan, Kain, Devon, Josephine, Archer, and Caleb. Graig dedicated his life to defying odds, and he found and shared joy with all that encountered him. His spirit and laughter filled the room and echoed. He previously attended Riverside School and RT Industries, both of Troy; as well as S & H Products of Sidney, where he made many friends over the years. He was a member of Crossroad Church of God in Piqua, where his participation will be missed. Graig will be remembered most, by all, for his smile and his most special friend, Elmo.
The family extends deep gratitude to his long term caregivers.
