Gladys May Davis, 92, of West Hills, California passed away at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Queen Comfort Care. She was born May 26, 1930 in Covington to the late Wilbur William and Clara Kathryn (Roeth) Wenrick. She married John Harrison Davis April 28, 1956 in Piqua, and he preceded her in death April 20, 2008.
Survivors include four children, Michael Davis of Ventura, California, Yvonne (Sam) Sciarrillo of Acton, California, Bruce Davis, and Janel (Steve) Hutchinson of Garden Grove, California; two grandchildren, Kristin (Brian) Vaccaro of West Hills, California and Gregory (Domonique) Bonanza of Riverton, Utah; one great grandson, Ethan Vaccaro; and one sister, Marjorie Voris of Troy. She was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Wenrick; and a sister, Thelma Anderson.
Mrs. Davis was a 1948 graduate of Staunton High School and was a past member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker. In 1960, she moved her family to California to support her beloved husband in his career as an aerospace engineer. She had a great sense of humor, and everyone remembers her for her wonderful laugh.
A graveside service to honor her life will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Ron Green officiating. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
