Garth E. Haselton, 61, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 7:35 a.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 14, 1961 in Santa Ana, California to the late Eugene and Thelma (Calloway) Haselton. He married Rhonda J. (Ledford) Preuss February 1, 2003; and she survives.
Other survivors include five children, Candace (Brian Shekels) Frasure of Adams, Wisconsin, Lasey (Daniel) Mckenzie of Piqua, Chad (Olivia Street) Preuss of Sidney, Garrett Haselton of Zuni Pueblo, New Mexico, Kyle (Jackie) Preuss of Beavercreek; seven grandchildren, Kylie, Keira, Adien, Myla, Madi, Rosie, Thomas; eight siblings, Cary (Sara) Haselton of West Milton, Eunice Huth of California, Bradley Haselton of Oregon, Scott (Jan) Haselton of California, Kevin Haselton of Oklahoma, Dawn (B.J.) Suitter of Maine, Heather (Chris) Ducic of North Carolina, and Teisha Jones of Nevada. He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Haselton; and two sisters, Julita and Becky.
Mr. Haselton was a devout member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses where he served as an Elder of the Piqua Congregation. His ministry and outreach while serving Jehovah brought him great joy and he was dedicated in his service to others. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially while fishing and kayaking. He was a caring and dedicated man who worked hard and loved his family deeply. He will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
A service to honor his life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. For those that cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed via Zoom; using the meeting ID 84554091188 and the passcode 568379.
