GARRY MILLER Obituary

Garry J. Miller, 66 of Piqua, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 2, 1955 in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Lloyd C. and Eileen (Althoff) Miller Sr. He married Debra (Weber) Miller April 17, 1996 in Elko, Nevada and she survives.

Other survivors include five children, Jeremy Miller, Dawn (Josh) Martin, Alishia (Thomas) Henry, Amy (George) Richardson, and Betsy (Eric) Darner; a brother, Craig (Sue) Miller; a brother in law, Carl (Judy) Weber; and a sister in law, Connie (George) Atkinson; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; also many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Miller; a sister; and a granddaughter.

Garry was a graduate of Covington High School, and went to work at Hartzell Fan/ Air Movement. He retired after 47 years of hard work and service. Garry was a member of the Upper Valley Fun Fliers, the American Legion Post 184, and the Covington Eagles 3998. In his spare time, Garry enjoyed going fishing, sitting out back watching the birds, flying his remote controlled planes, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. When he was told that something couldn’t be done he would usually prove them wrong by finding a solution or fixing what couldn’t be fixed. Garry was a genuine person and was willing to help anyone that needed it, and always did things by the book. He will certainly be missed by all who loved him.

A service to honor his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Friday also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to one’s favorite charity.
