ETHAN ELSHOFF Obituary

Ethan D. Elshoff, 31, of Troy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at 3:11 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026 in the comfort of his home following a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born April 6, 1994 in Dayton to Daniel J. and Melissa A. (Johns) Elshoff who reside in New Bremen. He married Meghan A. Earhart August 9, 2019 in Cincinnati; and she survives.

Other survivors include his children, Henry “Hank” Elshoff, Daphne Elshoff, and a second son they are expecting this summer; a brother, Braden (Madison McQuillin) Elshoff of Centerville; his maternal grandmother, Patricia (Ashman) Johns of St. Marys; his paternal grandparents, Jay & Kathleen (Wellman) Elshoff of St. Marys; his father and mother-in-law, Jeff & Kelly (Logan) Earhart of Piqua; his brothers-in-law, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Earhart of Powell, Jacob Earhart of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and his grandparents-in-law, William & Elizabeth (Cochran) Earhart of Troy, and John “Tim” & Judith (Gross) Logan of Troy. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Gerald “Pops” Johns.

Ethan was a 2012 graduate of New Bremen High School. He continued his education at Miami University, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He later went on to receive a Master of Public Health from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. Ethan worked for many years in the medical technology field, serving as an account manager for RQM+ and Regional Director of Business Development for Medical Engineering Consultants. Through his work, he built strong professional relationships and made meaningful contributions to the industry. Most recently, he was pursuing his dream of running an independent business and was developing his own corporation, Peregrine Med. Tech. (named after the Patron Saint of all cancers).  Ethan loved all things sports. He enjoyed playing, watching, and talking about sports, and he and his friends were true armchair analysts with a wealth of knowledge they loved sharing with one another. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos, and never missed a game. Most importantly, Ethan loved his family deeply. He was a cherished son, a devoted husband and an exceptional father who was always patient and adoring to his children. His family meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and many friends.
