DOROTHY L. JAMISON

Dorothy L. Jamison, 88, of Piqua, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at her home. She was born September 11, 1934 in Piqua to the late Clarence and Grace (Pottorf) Willcox. She married Stewart R. Jamison September 1, 1950 in Piqua and he preceded her in death May 29, 2022.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Stewart (Laura) Jamison of Florida, Mike Jamison of Covington, Robin (Doug) Reed of Piqua, Lori Weidner of Piqua, Jesse (Laurie) Jamison of Florida, Cassie Jamison of West Mansfield, and Robert Jamison of Piqua; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Joan Robaski of Piqua; and special friends Gail and Scott Schulz of Piqua; also many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter and son in law, Deborah (Leo) Flaute; daughter in law, Paulette Jamison; six brothers, Robert, Leo, Richard, Murray, Ward, and Merle Willcox; and one sister, Helen Schneider.

Dorothy was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and foster parent to 132 children. She worked very hard to make sure that everyone in her family had everything they would want or need. She enjoyed taking trips out to Colorado, and admired the gardens that her husband and children would plant for her. She cherished the leisurely drives she took with her husband Stew. She will truly be missed by all who loved her.

A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Grenada officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
