Donald R. MacInnes, 56, of Piqua, died unexpectedly at 9:56 p.m. at his residence. He was born January 10, 1965 in New York, New York to Eleanor (Otte) MacInnes and the late Peter MacInnes.
Other survivors include a sister, Pat Wilson of Middlesboro, Kentucky; a brother, Jack (Denise) MacInnes of Colbran, Colorado; and a stepson, Rocky Jenkins of Piqua. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marge Oakes.
Mr. MacInnes was a graduate of Piqua High School and Penn State University. He worked for twenty-five years as a veterinarian for Oakview Veterinary Hospital. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved animals and enjoyed fishing. His love for baseball was beneficial to the youth in the community as he enjoyed his time as a Piqua Youth Baseball coach.
A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
