DIANNE LYNN WATSON

Dianne Lynn Watson, 78, of Piqua, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home. She was born December 8, 1946 in Dayton to the late Thomas and Evelyn (Youngerman) Patton. She married Dale Irvin Watson on September 25, 1965 in Piqua, and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2014.

Dianne is survived by her two children, Greg (Mindy) Watson of Troy, Gwen Lambert of Dayton; also numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, and her sister, Nancy Hook.

Dianne received her LPN certification from Edison State Community College, and worked at Ayden Health Nursing Home previously. She was an avid reader, a skilled knitter that enjoyed making things for others, and could be seen around town taking a walk almost daily. Dianne was an animal lover, but most of all she adored her many dogs over the years that she loved so much. Dianne enjoyed keeping a garden and always admired the fruits of her labor. She was a wonderful cook and could bake anything, but she was very well known for making excellent cookies. Although she enjoyed cooking, Dianne also enjoyed going out to eat and seeing familiar faces around town.

Services for Dianne will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter.
