DENNIS EUGENE MILLS

Dennis E. Mills, 72, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his home. He was born December 27, 1951 in Piqua to the late Edgar H. and Thelma (Thompson) Mills Sr. He married Edith "Edey" C. (Favorite) Mills October 18, 1975 at Westminster Presbyterian Church and she survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Angela (William) Humes of London, Ohio; two grandsons, Harrison and Benjamin; his sister in law, Mary Sue Mills of Troy; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ted Mills and Edgar "Butch" (Carolyn Sue) Mills Jr.

Dennis was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, and worked at Orr Felt as a Senior Fixer, where he retired with over 40 years of hard work and dedication. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed going to services when his health allowed him to, and especially enjoyed listening to the choir. When Dennis was younger, he enjoying going water skiing, boating, fishing and camping, and also liked to shoot pool. He liked to play cards, especially Uno and Euchre with his family. Dennis loved to listen to Elvis and the Beachboys, and he loved Piqua Indians Football and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Dennis loved being a grandpa, and loved spoiling the boys and going to their sporting events and activities whenever he could.

A service to honor Dennis' life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Jamieson & Yannucci with Rev. Joshua Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, also at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 at Miami Memorial Park in Covington.
