DELORES "GAIL" WILCOX

Delores “Gail” Wilcox, 78, of Piqua, passed away at 9:11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Piqua Care Center. She was born July 2, 1947 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late James Edgar and Jessie Loraine (Akers) Anderson.

Survivors include her beloved son, Robert “Scott” (Melissa) Wilcox of Piqua; two grandchildren, Jesse (Samantha) Griffith, Seth (Madison) Griffith; a great grandson, Lincoln; three brothers, Troyl (Carol) Anderson, Ray (Betty) Anderson, Greg (Julie) Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Cissy Anderson. She will be missed by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia Casebolt, Priscilla Sue Beddow; two brothers, W. Dale “Bucky” Anderson, and Howard Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Floyd Beddow, Russel Casebolt; and the father of their son.

Gail was a graduate of Bowling Green High School. She worked for many years for the Walter Allstate Insurance Agency from which she retired. She got tired of retirements very quickly and went back to work part time for Hallmark. She was a volunteer for MainStreet Piqua, which she thoroughly enjoyed as well as being involved with Relay For Life with her dearest friend, Jenny Henke. She will be deeply missed.

A graveside service to honor her life will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026 at Forest Hill Cemetery. An upbeat celebration of Gail’s life to share the good memories will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
