Debora S. Godfrey, 65, of Piqua, passed away at 11:52 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in her home. She was born January 8, 1956 in Piqua to the late Robert Godfrey and Martha (Shaffer) Brinkman.
Survivors include a daughter, Shaun (Robert House) Jones of Piqua; Shaun’s father, Larry Gibson of Troy; Shaun’s paternal grandmother, Mary Gibson of Tipp City; four grandchildren, Kylar, Layne, Colton, Christian; four sisters, Tami (Kurt) Russell of Hampton, Virginia, Kim Brinkman of Herkimer, New York, Beth Waddle of Greenville, Gail Emrick of Tipp City; and four brothers, Jeff Brinkman of Greenville, Gary Waddle of Troy, Brent (Leslie) Gibson of Troy, Jeff Gibson of Arkansas; an aunt, Barbara “Jackie” Shaffer; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Godfrey; a great nephew, Deshawn Garza; and a gaggle of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Debora was a 1974 graduate of Piqua Central High School. She worked for many years in the purchasing department for Evenflo. Debora enjoyed her time quietly at home and liked to crochet. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.
A private service to honor her life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
