DEANNA LONTZ

Deanna Lontz, 71 of Piqua, passed away at 11:23 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1951 in LaFollette, Tennessee.

Survivors include her daughter, Alyson Schmidt of Troy; three grandchildren, Evan Grissom, Brianna (James Spencer) Firman, and Brandon Grissom; and two sisters and one brother. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, and her beloved dog, Bella.

Deanna was a graduate of Sidney High School Class of 1970. She had worked as an administrative assistant over the years, and most recently at Schmidlapp Equipment and at the Upper Valley Medical Center. In her free time, Deanna loved gardening and always kept flowerbeds full of her favorite flowers. She also enjoyed crafting various things, and liked to make wreaths for family and friends. Deanna also liked to collect various angels, and enjoyed adding new ones to the collection. She loved animals also, and really missed her beloved Bella after she passed. Above all else, Deanna loved her family and was quick to spoil her grandkids. She always enjoyed attending their various events and supporting them.
