David R. Ouhl, 75, of Piqua, passed away at 11:20 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at Versailles Health & Rehab. He was born March 21, 1948 in Tacoma, Washington to the late George and Frieda (Rotter) Ouhl. He married Linda (Collett) Ouhl June 13, 1970 in Piqua and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Troy (Angie) Ouhl of Piqua, Doug (Jenny) Ouhl of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Blane, Brady, Tyler (Britney), Trenton, Tanner, and Teagan; three great grandchildren, Uriah, Everleigh, and Piper; one brother, Mike Ouhl of North Bend, Washington; also many other relatives and friends.
David was a graduate of Mount Si High School in Washington, Class of 1966. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. David worked as a Salesman and Delivery Driver for Snyder's of Hanover. His biggest passion was baseball, he pitched for the Army when he was stationed in Germany, and enjoyed coaching Acme Baseball with Dave Woloch. He had also coached youth football, and loved the Piqua Indians and watching his grandchildren play sports. David was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to go hunting and fishing, and took trips up to Lake Erie and the Maumee River to fish for Walleye. David was also a Washington Huskies fan, and followed the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
A service to honor his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with military honors provided by the Veteran's Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Piqua High School Athletic Boosters, 1 Indian Trail, Piqua, OH 45356.
