David Comolli, 61, of Sidney, passed away unexpectedly at 9:44 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Wilson Health in Sidney. He was born March 18, 1963 in Piqua to the late John D. and Ilene R. (Gates) Comolli. He married Cynthia “Cindy” (Hughes) Comolli June 2, 1990 in Sidney and she survives.
Other survivors include three children, Christopher “Tyler” (Casey) Comolli of Piqua, Ashley Comolli of California, and Katherine “Katie” (Trevor) Hopsecker of Piqua; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Cathleen (Don) Comolli-Miller of Piqua; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
David was a graduate of Piqua Central High School, Class of 1981. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church for many years. David worked as an Over the Road Trucker and enjoyed being his own boss. He was a big fan of Harbor Freight tools and had two of almost everything. David enjoyed collecting various things, one being different editions of the Monopoly games. He was a fan of the Purdue Boilermakers and the Cincinnati Bengals. David never met a stranger and could talk to anyone, he would hold a ten minute conversation with someone that called the wrong number. Most of all, David loved his family and cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed making it to all of their sporting events and activities.
Services for David will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
