DAVID CAMPBELL Obituary

David T. “Tom” Campbell, 71, of Huber Heights, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in his home. He was born October 24, 1954 in Piqua to the late John and Pauline (Coblentz) Campbell.

Survivors include a daughter, Nicole (Jason) Heg of Tupelo, Mississippi; a son, Corey Campbell of Tupelo, Mississippi; a grandson, Cody Campbell; a brother, Richard Campbell of Piqua; a special niece, Diane Mumpower of Huber Heights; along with many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Kaeck; and six brothers, Jack, Charles, Christopher, Phillip, Tom, and Jeff.

Tom attended Piqua Central High School and went on to spend many years working in construction, specializing in roofing and home remodeling. He had a particular talent for concrete work, a craft he seemed to master with ease. Known as a true jack of all trades, Tom could fix just about anything and approached every job with dedication and pride. He was an exceptionally hard worker who also found joy outside of his profession. Tom took great pride in maintaining his yard and flowerbeds. In the kitchen, he was equally talented. He was an incredible cook who loved bringing people together. Sharing meals with friends and family was one of his greatest pleasures. Tom also enjoyed relaxing with “a cold beverage” and valued the friendships and camaraderie he built over the years, especially those formed in the easy company of others.

A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Animal Shelter, 1110 N. County Rd. 25A Troy, OH 45373.
