DANIEL HORN Obituary

Daniel G. Horn, 61, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 4, 2026 in his home. He was born October 15, 1964 in Dayton to the late Donald and Shirley R. (McNees) Horn.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Betty Jo Hall of Canyon Lake, Texas; three siblings, Whitney (Shane) Rowe of Pleasant Hill, Cindy (Terry) Favorite of Pleasant Hill, Doug Horn of Vandalia; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Dan was a 1983 graduate of Milton Union High School. He worked for many years for Joe’s Cycle Shop and was known as the best motorcycle mechanic around. He was a member of the Dayton Fish & Game as well as a member of the American Motorcycle Association for nearly 40 years. He loved all things motorcycles and in his younger years enjoyed flat track racing and dirt bike racing. When he wasn’t on a motorcycle, he could be found at local ponds and lakes spending his time fishing.

A private service to honor his life will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; or the Wounded Warrior Project.
