Christopher "Alan" Lawson, 62, of Piqua passed away at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Victory Ridge Hospice in Dayton. He was born in August 18, 1963 in Piqua to the late Al and Bobbie (Hubbard) Lawson.
Survivors include sisters, Diana (Alvin) Grau and Pam Lawson both of Piqua; nephew, Keith (Kelly) Grau of Piqua and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Lawson worked as security. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Alan was the rank of a Sergeant and was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He also was stationed in Honduras for 18 months. Alan served as a small arms expert. He enjoyed hunting, shooting and fishing in his spare time. He loved to travel all across the country.
A service to honor his life will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery with full military honors presented by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association Dayton 2555 S.
