CHRISTOPHER J. GARRETT

Christopher J. Garrett, 51, of Troy, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 22, 2023. He was born December 3, 1971 in Dayton to Vicki (Hatfield) Garrett of Union and the late James Garrett. He married Michelle L. Waters February 20, 1999; and she survives.

Other survivors include three daughters, Brittany Sanders of Piqua, Megan Line of Troy, Andrea Sanders of Troy; four grandchildren, Adison, Arizona, Sayge, William; a brother, Curtis Garrett of Union; and a sister, Jennifer (Dustin) Greggerson of Englewood.

Chris was a 1991 graduate of Northmont High School and the Joint Vocational School. He worked as an OTR Truck Driver for over 30 years; a profession he was passionate about as he loved trucks since he was a young boy. He enjoyed learning about and tracking trains and spending his weekends camping at his weekend hideaway. He also loved to cook, even if it wasn’t always great, he enjoyed the challenge of perfecting a recipe. Most importantly, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. He will be deeply missed by many.

A service to honor his life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2023 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity in Chris’s name.
