CHERYL LAMBERT Obituary

Cheryl A. Lambert, 76, of Covington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 6, 2025 at her home. She was born November 23, 1948 in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina to the late William L. and Doris E. (Mullen) Hamaker. She married James E. Lambert, Sr. August 31, 1993 in Troy; and he survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Doris (Darryl) Williams of Dayton; a stepson, Ronald Lambert of Piqua; two stepdaughters, Helena (James) Harper of Fletcher, Angela (James) Byers of Piqua; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lee (Jerry) Fell of Texas, and Pam (Carl) Godfrey of Troy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Hamaker, William Hamaker; and a stepson, James E. Lambert, Jr.

Mrs. Lambert was a 1965 graduate of Andress High School in El Paso, Texas and attended Edison State Community College. She served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. She worked as a Management Analyst for the Department of Defense before working as the Base/AFTO Forms Manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, from which she retired following 31 years of dedication. She loved to travel, especially with her family and cherished all the time she was able to spend with her family, whom she loved deeply. She enjoyed staying active with Friedens Lutheran Church which she was a member. Additionally, she liked to work on jigsaw puzzles with her husband and loved to scroll through Amazon looking for a good deal. She will be deeply missed.

A service to honor her life will begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Nicholas Lambert officiating. Full military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
