Charles P. “Chuck” Moser, 86, of Piqua, passed away at 2:12 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born June 26, 1936 in Wapakoneta to the late Orlo and Norma (Fessler) Moser. He married Sally J. Libbee in 1956 and she preceded him in death September 29, 2017.
Survivors include five grandchildren, Jeremy (Akacia) Moser, Benjamin (Christina) Moser, Bradley (Jessica) Moser, Philip Bryan Moser, and Karina (Ray) Wiley; six great grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Rylee, Addy, Solorha, and Oliver; two daughters in law, Verinda Moser and Rhonda (Howard) Maston; and one sister in law, Velma Moser; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Chuck was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin and Philip Moser; one daughter, Lora K. Moser; one brother, Bernard Moser; one sister, Charlotte Bryant; and one great granddaughter, Lora K. Moser.
Chuck was very proud to be a U.S. Navy Veteran having served at the very end of the Korean Conflict. He formerly attended the Bethel United Methodist Church and was also a member of the former Warren Masonic Lodge 24 in Piqua. Chuck had worked at Goodyear in Troy, and travelled for French Oil Mill Machinery Company and retired after many years of hard work and dedication. He enjoyed going fishing, woodworking, and collecting guns. Above all else, Chuck loved his family and enjoyed spending time with and spoiling the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Fletcher Cemetery with military honors provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
