CATHERINE "CATHY" E. FILSINGER

Catherine "Cathy" E. Filsinger, 73, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026 at the Piqua Manor Nursing Home. She was born March 4, 1953 in Greenfield to the late James and Gladys (Sheperd) Pryor. She married Mark Filsinger August 20, 1972 in Chillicothe, and he survives.

She is survived by her son, Kristian (Sarah) Filsinger of Piqua; two daughters, Kari (Filsinger) Armstrong of Troy, Kelly (Ronny) Westfall of Piqua; four grandchildren, Dylan Westfall, Benjamin Armstrong, Matthew Armstrong, Xander Filsinger; cousin, Thomas Spradlin of Wadsworth; and sister in law, Karla Filsinger of Dublin.

Cathy was a 1971 graduate of Greenfield McClain High School and then went on to receive a Associate degree from Kentucky Christian University.  She worked at the campus post office at Johnson Bible College and Bonny Kate Elementary School. Cathy was a member of the Knoxville Chapter of the Mother of Twins. She was a devoted member of the Troy Christian Church women's bible study and small groups.

A service to honor her life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Troy Christian Church with Pastor Chris Heiss officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Hospice of Miami County 3230 N.
