Brenis Fagan, 82, of Piqua, passed away peacefully at 12:55 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Hospice of Miami County. She was born February 19, 1943 in West Liberty, Kentucky to the late Hazel and Jessie (Smith) Young. She married Richard L. Fagan June 24, 1961 in Swanders; and he preceded her in death January 29, 2022.
Survivors include twelve brothers & sisters: Darrell (Lois) Young of West Liberty, Kentucky, Ranie (Delores) Young of Bradford, Raymond (Ann) Young of Sidney, Jean (Jerry) Wilson of Piqua, Delvie Palmer of Piqua, Jeanelle (Randy) Halsey of West Liberty, Kentucky, Jeanette (Bobby) Sowards of Frenchburg, Kentucky, Martha (Rick) Bair of Wellington, Kentucky, Carol (John Hughes) Blair of Paintsville, Kentucky, Cindy (Robbie) Bradley of West Liberty, Kentucky, David (Debbie) Young of Flat Gap, Kentucky, and Stanley (Darlene) Young of Ezel, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Imogene Young, and Gladys Cantrell
Mrs. Fagan was a longstanding and faithful member of Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly. She worked for over 45 years for the former Piqua Poultry before she retired. She was an avid collector of antique dolls and cookie jars. Brenis lived her life on her terms and was very matter of fact. She was a strong and resilient woman. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her quick wit, and her ability to spin a story.
A service to honor her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly with Pastor Jay Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being provided to the family through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Church of God Mountain Assembly, 9330 Looney Rd.
